Because of the difference in setting and feel, some minor tweaks have been made to the core rules. The majority of it is a rebalancing of equipment; weapons are less lethal, while armor is a bit stronger (most provides soak of 1 to 2, as opposed to the 0 to 1 of stock EotE).
However, there are some things that have changed, to make gameplay have the right feel:
- Any power that specifies 'once per encounter' can be used once per hour.
- Medicine Check - Same as in the base game: Once per encounter, per player, make a Medicine Check and heal number of wounds, and number of strain.
- Additional medicine checks may be made. For each additional check, suffer 2 strain, and upgrade the difficulty of the check once times the number of medicine checks already performed on that character in the last hour.
- Each check takes 15 minutes.
- A result prevents any additional medicine checks (to heal wounds) on the character for the rest of the session, unless a
Destiny Point
is spent.
