- Geri O’Conner - Station Director, former League Naval Officer, expressive prankster at heart, but takes her role very seriously, follows the book right up until it comes down to a person in danger versus what the book says to do, no longer a League Officer due to a court martial for sacrificing a mission to save some kids.
- Ramsey Quinn - Station Security Officer, Served ten perfectly meritorious years in the Highlands Cluster Defense Force before an injury forced him into a medical discharge. Still maintains contacts in the various Freelancer defense forces. Would rather be back on what he perceives as the front lines.
- Oliver San Michels - The son of a former League Ambassador (now one of the owners of the station), acts like an absolute spoiled brat, moonlights as an anti-Confederacy revolutionary. His group is being manipulated by the Zealot Sooni
- Ailen Ryo - Masquerades as the dilettante lover of San Michels. Is a Zealot Sooni manipulating San Michels’ revolutionary group. They also act as a shadowy enemy in general, frequently weaving various plots and schemes.
- Terra Rose - Juno Station’s Wing Commander. Hardass when needed, had a history of being a party animal while enrolled at the Moskva Academy in the class of ‘80 (the second class enrolled, began classes in 2676). Has somehow fallen into the position of O’Conner’s confidant after one very bad Independence Revel.
- Skipp North - Nominally the owner and primary bartender of the Polaris Porch Pub on station, is the least subtle League Intelligence agent ever. Like, he doesn’t even try to hide it. He had it on his contact drops for a bit.
- Lyte - Lyndri Ambassador on Juno Station. Unlike many Ambassadors, she is actively working to smuggle her sisters to freedom somewhere safe. Many of the Lyndri she “sells” are sold to proxies of Amelia Morgan, the current owner of the Sanctus Aurum.
- Story background (Almost an opening crawl) - Tensions are rising across human space as it becomes increasingly clear that the cease fire established in the Charlemagne Accords is not going to last much longer. Everyone seems to be holding their breath, waiting to see if the League or the Republic will break it first.
In Confederacy space, most people are trying their damnedest to keep going about their usual business and hoping that the two galactic powers stay out of Freelance space this time, while preparing for the inevitable battles that will rage through their homes.
In the Legendarium system, Juno Station has become busier than usual as it is one of the few Freelance stations considered completely safe from Terran aggression, mostly due to its proximity to League space and the strong ties the station administration crew has made with League ships that occasionally visit. Unfortunately, nowhere in human space is truly safe from what is coming, and Juno Station is soon to find itself at the heart of a concentrated enemy action.
-
Main Station Story - As tensions brew across the galaxy, a shadowy presence is operating in Juno Station. A Revolutionary group who seeks to tear down the Confederacy and re-assert the primacy of individual systems has taken root on the station, and what was once little more than some college-age hotheads hosting poorly-attended rallies has become an armed extremist group capable of pulling off bombings. One of these happens in the Station's entertainment district at the start of the story, and most of the cast will be tied to this story on both sides of it.
-
Ghost Ship Story - There have been increasing reports of a ghost ship dancing around the edges of the Legendarium system and Terra and Skipp will be investigating what will turn out to be a Grey ship. The same Grey ship that will destroy the station at the end of the fifth episode.
-
The Artifact Story - An exhibit sponsored by San Michels has opened up on station. One of its primary artifacts has been driving Lyndri into a berserk blood lust. Ramsey and Lyte will be the primary characters tied to this one, along with Geri and Oliver.
Episode 1 - October 2694
- An explosion rocks the entertainment district
- Station Security and others begin investigating the bombing
- A small cell of revolutionaries takes credit for the bomb and when security comes from them, they blast their way to the landing bay and try to escape in a shuttle.
- Oliver and Ailen watch the news from bed and indulge in some gloating
- Patrol fighters deal with them, secretly capturing the shuttle but reporting it destroyed.
- O’Conner leans on North to interrogate the rebels.
- The last scene is a Lyndri going berserk in a market
Episode 2 - November 2694
- North has been working on the rebel survivors in a secret hold. They’re unusually resistant to interrogation, so much so that one dies in agony as they were about to spill
- Rose and her wing are investigating a reported “Phantom Trace” of some unknown ship on the edge of the system. They don’t find a ship, but they find a strange relay satellite that self-destructs when they try to get a grapple on it. Rose is without power and her wing is dead.
- The Lyndri who went berserk is being held in a psychiatric ward on El Dorado and Ramsey and Lyte are questioning them. They don’t remember anything but primal rage.
- San Michels and Ryo attend a meeting with O’Conner about the situation on the station.
- Rose attempts a spacewalk with just what she is able to cobble together from her flightsuit and her damaged fighter. Her wing’s fighter is in better shape despite the shrapnel the killed them
- North and O’Conner have a heart to heart about the revolutionaries and their goals
- Rose is picked up by a freighter and returned to Juno. She is taken straight into medical (Cameo for who picks her up. Either Chilkoot or Liz depending on preference)
Episode 3 - December 2694
- O’Conner is opening the annual Yule Market on the station. She is attacked by another berserk Lyndri
- Rose is mostly recovered and is trying to reconstruct the relay from debris gathered by the ship that rescued her and from the sensor data from her and her wing’s fighters.
- Ramsey has to step up as interim Director while O’Conner is in the medical bay. He recruits Lyte to take over the berserk investigation while he tries to manage the station while everyone is panicking.
- Lyte brings in North who she has a relationship with at this point. They manage to backtrack both berserkers to a recent exhibit sponsored by San Michels.
- Ailen hires a pirate crew to toss the exhibit and steal a useless NorAellian relic instead of the real artifact
- Rose and her fighters chase the pirates but their ship self-destructs
- Meanwhile, at the edge of the system, a League Intelligence ship, the LSS Pneuma, is examining a second relay sat and is destroyed by the ghost ship.
Episode 4 - January 2695
- Bottle episode.
- The rebels lockdown the station, trapping odd pairings of characters in uncomfortable places.
- O’Conner, Lyte, and North are stuck in a lift
- Ramsey and Rose are trapped in a spare hold
- Oliver and Ailen are stuck in the rebel’s base on station
- O’Conner and team will be figuring out evidence from the berserk attacks (more have occurred off screen)
- Ramsey and Rose will figure out what the relay sats are for (blacking out the entire system from all communications)
- Oliver and Ailen will start by just villain monologuing for a bit before Ailen kills Oliver and initiates a countdown for the rebels to launch attacks at major Confederacy bases (with the full knowledge that they don’t stand a chance of succeeding) and then updating the Grey on the timeline
Episode 5 - February 2695
- THIS WILL BE A DOWNER EPISODE
- O’Conner, Ramsey, and North seize the exhibit and quickly identify the artifact that is causing the trouble with the help of a Lyndri Kingsguard agent
- Rose and Lyte are working on a plan to escort a freighter of free Lyndri out of system
- Ailen interrupts the exhibit team, activates the artifact and kills Ramsey.
- O’Conner gives North the artifact and orders him to take it to McKenzie, then she prepares to covers him from what she thinks is the newly berserk Lyndri agent. Instead, the agent reveals that he’s unaffected thanks to some other ancient Lyndri tech. They pursue Ailen.
- Word arrives at the station of attacks happening across the Confederacy just before all comms are cut and the Grey arrive
- Lyte orders the freighter away and Rose and her squadron provide them cover. Once they’re in subspace, Rose and her squadron go back to aid the other ships in attempting to hold off the Grey. This doesn’t work and Rose appears dead
- O’Conner squares off with Ailen and loses, but she held them up long enough for the Grey to begin firing on the station, dooming Ailen along with herself.
- North rescues Lyte from a fire and the two of them make it to his ship and escape the station in time to see it destroyed by the Grey. They dive into subspace, but they’re clipped by the Grey, leaving their status unknown.
