Tel'Erani (Planet)
Tel'Erani is a small four planet system, with only one "earth-like" planet. It is most notable for having a subspace corridor between it's sun and the sun of the Fulu system. Because of this, it has become a well known trade-route for Freelance merchants looking to trade with either the Terrans, or for Terran merchants looking to trade with Freelance worlds. (Or even, League, through a Freelance broker.)
The system also contains the Cir'Kahl asteroid belt, remnants of a heavy metal world that mysteriously fragmented approximately 100,000 years ago. The belt lies in the inner system and is known for its extreme magnetic interference, high radiation levels, and the infamous "Erani Ghosts"—sensor anomalies that have spawned countless conspiracy theories. A network of navigation beacons guides ships through safe corridors, though traversing the belt cuts several days off the journey compared to going around it.
(See: Tel'Erani Colony History)
The Tel'Erani system started as a pirate haven about three hundred years ago, but a concerted effort from both the Terran and League governments cleared them out. The League helped establish the Tel'Erani Colony and has been providing defense and support with their patrols informally ever since.
