The Echelon Bravo mk6 is the solution to problems a kilometer or more away. Highly accurate and intentionally designed with intelligent aim assistance, this longarm is made to remove problems before they can get close enough to remove you.
The Bravo was made on a bet. After the Fifth Interstellar War concluded, two Army marksmen, one League and one Republic, were sitting together at a bar on Gold Star Station. One of them brags about the furthest shot they had made, the other counters with a farther shot. The conversation goes on for awhile with both soldiers comparing conditions, terrain, target size, anything to prove that one is better than the other.
As could almost be predicted, they failed to reach any conclusions. However, in the spirit of cooperation in the moment of a ceasefire, they decided that instead of figuring it out on the battlefield, they would make a contest out of it. From this bet, the legendary FOG Shooting Contest emerged.
Seeing an opportunity in this wild idea, officers on both sides pushed the idea as an official, international competition to see who the best human shooter is. On the tenth anniversary of the competition, they shook up the rules and commissioned Echelon Defense Systems to build the rifles for the competition. The Bravo is what was produced.
With a functional range of up to two kilometers with no appreciable drop in accuracy, the Bravo is a sniper's dream. Recoil dampeners, intelligent aim assist systems, and a unique railgun design termed the Coriolis System, the rifle is made to remove a problem before it becomes aware of you.
