The Echelon Delta mk3 is the League Marine's best friend. A bullpup design with an adjustable rate of fire and enough extras to keep anyone alive in hostile territory for as long as needed.
When Echelon emerged onto the personal weapons scene for the tenth FOG Competition, they drew immediate attention. It wasn't long before they were approached by the League to design a new series of weapons for their Marines.
The first of these was the Delta. It combined the compact design of a bullpup with the rapid fire of an smg, and it's twin barrel design means that more rounds are going down range than any other comperable weapon on the market.
Echelon took the brief a step further than the League had initially planned. When told to make a "reliable weapon that will survive in extreme and hostile conditions" they took that to mean that it was their job to make a Marine's survival more likely. To this end, they included a host of tools and supplies that make survival much easier, including some alternative firing methods that can make use of local materials if a proper reload isn't available.
What makes the Delta even more impressive is that the survival tools and options actually work in the field. This is largely thanks to the company taking input from seasoned Marines and then following their advice. This is also what created the multifunctional cartridges, which can double as firestarters, flares, traps, and even mines if prepared correctly. This last option is not a recommended course of action and EDS has said over and over that deploying cartridges like this is a bad idea. The Recon units swear by it though.
