The Sol System is where humanity started, and the People's Republic of Terra has made sure everyone remembers it. Most heavily populated system in the Republic, most heavily defended, and the seat of everything that matters politically.
Earth is the capital world: the Premiere, the Assembly, the bureaucracy. Mars is its industrial counterpart, terraformed centuries ago into a manufacturing powerhouse that never stopped growing. Between and around the two, the system is thick with orbital habitats, shipyards, defense platforms, communication relays, and six hundred years of accumulated infrastructure.

¶ Luna
Earth's moon was humanity's first step off-world and has never stopped being useful. Military installations, research facilities, the Republic's most secure archives. The far side houses classified projects that officially don't exist, a tradition dating back to before the Republic itself.
¶ First Fleet Anchorage
The Republic's First Fleet (the senior and most prestigious fleet command) is permanently stationed in Sol. The Anchorage is a network of military stations and depot facilities in the outer system, positioned to respond to any threat from the Front Lines with the League.
