The Rokkr was the second Erebus-class off the line and was almost immediately assigned to Fleet Admiral Alastair McKenzie as his flagship.
When the Rokkr was assigned to Admiral McKenzie, the very first thing he did was approach the design team who made the Nyx-class and ordered them to do a custom refit on her. Specifically, he asked for a repair space that could handle up to an Archigos-class, two special landing bays at the back of the ship able to handle at least an Ares-class, rebuilding the spinal grazers to plasma lances, and adding in a heat sink baffle system similar to the one they designed for the Nyx. He wasn't aiming for full stealth, but for something that would at least disguise the sensor read of his ship.

What does a high yield plasma lance do?Morgul — Today at 4:55 PM
"Nothing pleasant. That's the point." --McKenzie.
I'm imagining it actually makes a subspace bubble between it and the target ship, allowing the shot to a) hit faster than the speed of light and b) it stops being a plasma and starts being a Bose–Einstein Condensate... basically the even more exotic form of plasma that can do things like create micro black holes.Vakasa — Today at 4:58 PM
I would like for those to never fire, please and thank you
McKenzie needed a flagship, but hey, it's not like he'd fly any bog-standard ship, right?
